Laser Spider Vein Therapy

Spider Veins: You may see an immediate disappearance of spider veins during treatment. However, it may require one to three treatments to achieve optimal results. Veins on the legs may look worse for a few weeks before improving considerably. Redness and swelling may last for several hours and up to a few days.
Rosacea: Treatment can resolve flushing and blushing after several sessions. Immediately after treatment, some swelling is expected. In rare cases, swelling may last more than one day. The sensation of a rubber band snapping on the skin during treatment is typical.
Cherry Angiomas (red moles) and Venous Lakes: Usually done using the Er:YAG component of the laser, this treatment requires one to two treatments spaced three to four weeks apart. Immediate improvement is expected, even after one treatment. Minimal pain is experienced during the treatment.
Red Surgical Scars and Red Stretch Marks: Multiple low-level treatments may be required. There is no downtime necessary. Noticeable changes will be minimal at first. However, redness should be reduced after a number of treatments.

The treatment area may be tender and slightly swollen for a few hours and up to several days, depending on the condition being treated. In some cases, a red mark resembling a “cat scratch” may be present for a few weeks afterward. These side effects are mild and temporary and should resolve on their own.

Heavy exercise should be avoided for 24 hours, and sunscreen should be applied consistently to maintain the quality of your results.

IS LASER TREATMENT OF VASCULAR SKIN CONDITIONS PAINFUL?

The excel V™ laser includes integrated cooling for your comfort. However, mild discomfort may be experienced, depending on individual sensitivity. Pain felt during the procedure is usually described as the snap of a rubber band against the skin. Post-procedure pain is extremely rare.

DOES LASER TREATMENT CAUSE SCARRING?

In rare cases, patients experience temporary blisters, crusting, and/or pigmentation changes. We advise clients to avoid sun exposure or tanning beds before and after laser treatments to avoid potential complications.

WILL INSURANCE COVER THE PROCEDURE?
