The machine can utilize two different light wavelengths to provide customized treatment of red or brown spots, which can be caused by factors such as aging and sun damage. The light energy passes through the skin and is absorbed by melanin cells in the skin. The cells are then destroyed and absorbed by the body. PicoSure® also rejuvenates the skin by breaking down layers of damaged skin cells and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are proteins that help give the skin its structure and elasticity.

A topical anesthetic may be used for your comfort, but the treatment is not typically very painful. There is also no downtime, although you may experience some swelling of the target area that should dissipate within a few hours.

Tattoo Removal with PicoSure®
